I have never much cared for Wolfe's writing, though I have in the past bought 2 of his books.  I now see that I should no longer spend my money.

Elizabeth sent me the url to your "Mixed Bag" article.  Thank you!   You are so right in your saying that you never know how you affect someone with what you do...and to keep on creating "mixed tapes."  I have always appreciated a hand made tape from my friends, but I had never quite looked at them as an expression of their lives...but you explained it so beautifully.  I have also tried to take the time for friends...to look them in the eye, to hug them, to tell them that I love them -- and I am glad that my daughter does that also -- maybe I got the idea from her.
