CHANGES by Jennifer HearneFor over a year, Being There has relied on a relatively small staff and a relatively small group of freelancers to put together as good an issue as possible on a monthly basis. I’ll be honest: it’s never been easy. But it’s been rewarding. We’ve gotten to talk to people whose art we admire, and it’s given us all an excuse to explore music and film a little more deeply than we might normally. But we’ve collectively decided that it’s time for a change. This is our last issue of 2005, and starting in January 2006, the look and feel of Being There will be quite different. We hope you’ll stay with us while we tinker around and make some changes for January. If you haven’t already, sign up for our newsletter and we’ll keep you posted on progress. We also hope to add a few treats to the site to tide things over. Being There wouldn’t be where it is today if it weren’t for you guys, so as always, thanks for reading. |
