About Me:   A film-school drop-out, Nathan Williams huddles in rainy Seattle planting seeds for a cinema renaissance.

Favorite Album: Pet Sounds. I really wish I could answer differently. A Love Supreme , maybe. Or Exile on Main Street . Or Ilmatic. Any of these would make me look like less of a melancholy nerd. But my heart belongs to big bad Brian.

Favorite Film(s): 8 ½, Mirror, Seven Samurai, Fanny and Alexander, Early Summer, My Darling Clementine, Nashville, Blow-Up, Ordet, Citizen Kane, Au Hazard Balthazar, Close-Up, City Lights, My Life to Live, Pather Panchali, Rules of the Game, M, The Mothering Heart, Sunrise, Night of the Hunter, Children of the Paradise, Ivan the Terrible, The Lady Eve . These are all essential viewing. By essential, I mean there is no point in watching other movies until you've seen the films listed above.

Favorite Concert: Prince. Meadowlands. June, 2004. I don't even like guitar solos, and that little bastard made me actually cry with his guitar-work. How can he play such incredible solos...with such little hands?

Close 2nd -- The Roots (feat. Cody ChesnuTT and Skillz). Showbox, Seattle. 2002. The Roots put   a three hour hurting on Seattle.

Favorite Book:   The Education of Henry Adams by Henry Adams. Anyone who wants to understand the United States should read this book. And then watch Altman's Nashville .
