Being There wants you!

Do you love to write? So do we, which is why we created Being There in 2004 as a place to explore the past, present and future of music, film, literature and popular culture.  Our growing publication is looking for new freelance writers to help us with interviews, reviews, etc.  If you're interested in joining our team, please drop us a line including the following:

1. Two story ideas for Being There.  No major outlines are required, just a few basic sentences describing what you have in mind.

2. Two samples of your writing.  While we'd prefer something that has already been published, this is not a requirement.  Send us a link to your blog, articles you've posted elsewhere, etc.  Or write something new, like an album review!

3. A brief explanation of who you are and what you are all about.

This is probably a good time to mention that we can't pay you.  Sorry.  But we don't get paid either.  We can guarantee that if you are awesome and write for us, you will earn endless respect and admiration - from us and your mom! We do get our fair share of promotional swag, and we're more than happy to share.
